At El Tiny Cafe, in the heart of Berkeley, every cup tells a story. Our family-owned cafe celebrates the rich flavors of high-quality Mexican coffee, lovingly harvested by women farmers in Chiapas, Mexico. From light to dark roasts, each bean delivers an exceptional experience that connects you to generations of care and craftsmanship.
In 2009, we began our journey in the coffee industry, initially managing catering at a local coffee shop. A year later, we both worked as baristas at another café, which we eventually closed and cleaned as janitors. Our daughter, who was just a toddler, often accompanied us, exploring the café and helping in her own small ways. Her early interest in coffee extended to making drinks for her preschool teachers.
